This was a triumph. Well. This was a triumph insofar as I successfully made the cake. The cake itself was so sweet that it made my pancreas weep. To my credit, I didn't burn it, it came out in the shape it was supposed to, and I'm fairly sure if I added the rest of the sugar to the frosting, it would have held it's shape in the heat of the kitchen.
The unpleasant sweetness of this cake along with the it's inherent chemical pinkness have lead me to a curiosity about herbal cupcakes. Definitely something to work through.
There is an unfortunate amount of science involved in this baking thing. So wish me luck.
